Media owner and operator

bestwebsite.gallery is an independent collection of noteworthy websites, privately operated on a non-commercial basis since 2008. David Hellmann is the media owner, publisher and person responsible for editorial content. There are no ownership interests held by other parties or trust arrangements.

Editorial policy: Selecting and documenting websites, web design and developments in digital design. Selection is solely curatorial and has no party-political agenda.

Community ratings

Visitors can rate Sites in Design, Usability and Creativity, awarding between 1 and 10 points in each category. The system is designed to accept one community rating per browser and Site; this is not a verified one-person-one-rating system.

The community score starts at 5.0 to soften the impact of individual ratings, particularly when only a few ratings have been submitted. Community ratings do not influence inclusion in the collection or selection as Site of the Day.

Third-party content and removal requests

Screenshots document publicly accessible websites at the time they were captured. Rights to the websites, trademarks and content shown remain with their respective rights holders. Inclusion does not imply an affiliation with, approval by or endorsement from those rights holders.

Site operators and rights holders can request removal of a gallery listing or screenshot, a correction, or exclusion of their domain from future captures. Email david@hellmann.io with the subject “Content Removal Request”. Please identify the gallery listing, domain or content concerned and explain your connection to it.

Requests will be reviewed promptly. Content may be hidden while a request is being assessed.

This notice provides information in particular with regard to section 5 of the Austrian E-Commerce Act (ECG) and section 25 of the Austrian Media Act (MedienG), where applicable.
